Alternative Transportation Services Inventory

This map illustrates bike rack and moped parking locations on the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities’ campuses. An inventory was conducted to determine the frequency, type of bike rack, the number of spaces allotted, and condition of the alternative transportation points. My project members and I gathered coordinates and attribute information for the parking spaces by creating a feature service to be used in the ArcGIS for Collector application. This study followed project management practices such as the creating a request for proposal, monitoring progress, and tracking deliverables. The data will be used by the University’s Parking and Transportation Services to monitor and maintain their parking areas.
